Discovering your purpose can bring one of two things to the individuals around you. Positive influence. Negative influence. How you think of yourself will have a lot to do with they type of influence you carry out. The scriptures show both types through the old and the new writings. In the Tanak, you will see how Moses' influence was able to set the Israelites free from captivity. Yahweh asked him to release the people. Moses did not stay in a defeated mindset. He believed he could save the people. (Exodus 9:1)
Herod was a negative influence. He was lead by insecurities. The outcome of his thoughts harbored a massacre of thousands of young boys. (Matthew 2:16) He created fear in people. His influence was infiltrated with a horrible outcome. There is one who had the best influence. Yahshua. This was the man Herod was attempting to kill. Yahshua knew who he was. He had a vision of what he could bring to the table. Trusting in Yahweh to renew His thoughts. Yahshua's influence converted hundreds of thousands to become positive influences in their community. Your thoughts play a huge role in the way you influence others. Are you a positive influence? Or a negative influence?
